Meet Toby
MUSTANG ROOTS Toby is one of us -he grew up right here in Mustang,playing football and graduating from Mustang High School in 1989 then earning a degree from Mid-America Christian University. Toby and his wife, Markie, are raising their two kids in the heart of our community, near 89th and Czech Hall. Markie is an instructor at Canadian Valley Technology Center, preparing the next generation with real skills for real jobs.

OIL FIELD WORKER & SMALL BUSINESS OWNER Toby knows what it means to get your hands dirty and work hard for a living. He’s spent 15 years in the oil patch working on drilling rigs—backbreaking work that powers Oklahoma and America. Before that, he was the top Oklahoma salesman for Hostess (Twinkies!), building a career in sales and consumer goods. Today, he's a successful real estate investor and co-owner of Okie Storage Solutions. Toby embodies the Oklahoma spirit: work hard, build something, create jobs, and keep government out of the way so families can thrive.
A MAN OF FAITH Toby's story is a powerful witness to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. As a young man, his choices cost him his football scholarship at NWOSU and more—but when he gave his life to the Lord, everything changed. He's been faithfully married to Markie for 20 years, and together they worship at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church. Twice a month, Toby ministers at a rehab center in NE OKC, sharing the Gospel and the hope of redemption with men and women in crisis. In a world full of excuses, Toby proves that with God's grace, anyone can turn their life around and live with purpose.
FORMER TEACHER AND SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER No one at the Capitol will stand stronger for our schools than Toby. He taught and coached at Putnam City West for three years, so he knows the classroom from the front lines. Since 2023, he's served on the Mustang School Board, standing for academic excellence, discipline in the classroom, strong parental rights, and keeping our schools grounded in traditional American values—not woke indoctrination or liberal experiments. Toby believes parents—not bureaucrats or out-of-state activists—know what's best for our children. He'll protect our kids, support our teachers, and make sure Oklahoma schools produce hardworking, patriotic young people ready to lead.
